Beowulf & Grendel
Beowulf is an Old English epic poem thought to be wrote in 750 A.D.
Beowulf is a tale of good vs. evil. The story is set in barbarous Europe. After hearing the tale of the gruesome human eating monster Grendel, Beowulf becomes uneasy. Sure enough Beowulf's nightmare becomes reality when his men are attacked by Grendel. Beowulf battles this monster and his mother because someone has to protect the people. A fiery dragon has became enraged because his treasure and been found and a cup was stolen from him. The dragon terrorizes the countryside at night, burning homes, including Beowulf’s. Beowulf insists on taking on the dragon by himself, but recieves help from Wiglaf together they kill the dragon. But the dragon has severely wounded Beowulf. Dying, Beowulf leaves his kingdom to Wiglaf.
